I live in the city and was looking for a feeder that I could use that would make me feel less urban-like. I will admit that it took about two weeks before the birds (sparrows, mostly) felt comfortable enough to use the feeder. I lured them with seed just sprinkled on the sill. Now, birds are frequent visitors throughout the day. I have had no problems with the feeder suction cups or with rain getting in the feeder. A very good value feeder.

This was a gift I appreciated greatly after my old one was ravaged by a storm.
Since I had already acquired regular birdie visits from my previous one, the birds came back to feed without hesitation. The most common visitors are sparrows and chickadees.
The clean application of this feeder onto the glass is key to a secure hold. Also make sure you place it within easy reach for cleaning and refilling.
I'm not the only one enjoying birds at the window, my cats who are never outdoors are also entertained.
Great gift for any bird lover, I recommend this to anyone who enjoys a close, indoor view of birds.

and it was fine - when it stayed on the window. But I was constantly having to go out and fish it out of the landscaping, then reattach it to the window. I tried cleaning the window and the suction cups, and it still fell. As a result, I'm still looking for a window mounted feeder.

we love this! We get all kinds of birds in it and love to watch them up close. I filled it with mixed seeds at first and got primarily chickadees, but then changed to black sunflower seeds and now we get lots of birds--all kinds. They love this feeder and I have to refill it every couple of days because it gets so much traffic. I plan to buy these this year for gifts wtih a bag of seeds-I think children will love it.
