5 out of 5 stars Great buy!   February 12, 2010
J.D. Twain (Va)
My husband and I originally bought these in town but hadn't been able to replace them, so we tried the net. We have two outside our casement windows in our sunroom (no sills and easy filling). They provide lots of entertainment for kids, pets, company of all ages. Fun and inexpensive. Gail in VA

3 out of 5 stars Here's how to get the Birds to feed...............   February 11, 2010
Jersey Chuck (Livermore Ca.)
First off I bought this feeder from Warehouse Deals via Amazon Fulfillment (Most probably a return from another customer) and when I received the feeder it wouldn't stay together (It is cheaply made) so I broke out the "Amazing Goop All-Purpose Household Goop, 3.7-Ounce Tube #130012" to glue it together.
(Hence the three stars)

Now here's how I "Lured" the birds in:

I hung a traditional bird feeder about 3 feet away from the window feeder and let it stay there for several days while the Birds feasted, then removed it and the Birds went for the window feeder.

2 out of 5 stars Trouble with the suction cup   January 24, 2010

I like the look of it not real big but one of the suction cups won't hold. I had to use tape to keep it from falling.

3 out of 5 stars NOT as large as other reviews describe...   December 3, 2009

I think it's really wrong that the dimensions of this product aren't written on the page. And I'm surprised that not one of the other reviewers thought to give them!

Here they are:
The outside dimensions are 7.5" wide at the widest point, and 6.5" high at the highest point. At the smallest points (the sides) it is 3.5" high.
The dimensions of the hole that birds can perch in are: 6" wide at the widest point, and 4" high at the highest point. BUT at the sides of the hole, it is only 1.5" high.

So the hole that birds can perch in is very small. I seriously doubt that cardinals can perch there. So far I have only seen finches. Maybe the other reviewers are reviewing an older product that used to be larger?

And I've looked elsewhere, and I just can't find anything bigger. It seems like there's a big gaping hole in the market waiting to be filled. Why won't any of these companies make a window feeder that's just a couple inches bigger? It's frustrating.

I'm keeping it because it's a good price (when I got the feeder it was about $6 plus shipping) and it wouldn't be worth it to send it back. I just thought that people interested in purchasing this should have better information before they make their decision.

Update: I changed this review from 2 stars to 3, mostly because it has held up well so far. Yes, it's smaller than I would like, but it has never once fallen off the window and the little birds like it. (Be aware that it can take them a while to notice it, but once they do they'll come back.) It's very cool seeing a wild bird just a few feet away from your face.

5 out of 5 stars Wild Bird Window Feeder   December 1, 2009

This is best gift to myself I have made this year.
This Window feeder is extremely low cost & is easily affixed to a window.
The suction cups are working, the feeder is easy to refill.
I have 2 feeders on my office window and the birds started feeding on the 1st day of installation. The birds arrive every morning at daybreak and bring great joy to my day. The birds are about 24 inches from me and I can fully appreciate their beauty & eating habits.
I will be purchasing this low-cost Bird Feeder as a Christmas gifts for my grandkids.
