This product leaks August 27, 2010 azeee The Perky Pet 48 oz. feeder leaks a slow but continuous drip from the base, resulting in a puddle of sugar water below. Not good.
By contrast, the Perky Pet 30 oz. feeder is solid with no leakage.
hard to handle July 20, 2010 mrfidd The top is hard to put back on after filling and you have to wait for it to be tottaly empty to refill or you get the food all over.
Problems July 18, 2010 Jacquelyn A. Boaz It is hard to get the feeder part on to the plastic feed holder. Makes a big mess with sugar water all over me, floor and sink drainboard. I had this feeder in the past and liked it, however, the last two I purchased I rarely use now.
A grand daddy of feeders for hummers July 15, 2010 Dewey Lehnen (Sloughhouse, CA United States) Bought this to add to the small one we had already. It is a smashing hit with the hummer population around our house. When filled to about 2/3rds it will last about 3 1/2 days. Easy to assemble (Initial assembly requires a screwdriver and a small wrench. After that, only need your hands!) The only drawback is in refilling the reservoir. Since there is usually some nectar left in the red feeder, I will attempt to save as much of the nectar as possible by pouring it into the reservoir. I tip the feeder so that the nectar comes out one of the feeding ports. It takes a few seconds but allows me to minimize wasting the nectar. I would buy this again if I needed one.
Leaks July 15, 2010 dj_osiris Received product on time, but it leaks. I don't expect a brand new feeder to leak the first time I use it. I cannot recommend this feeder.
